Our experience with Stanzin has been very positive. As a family of four we started with a three day acclimatizing route in the colourful Sham Valley ('the baby trek') before heading to Markha Valley for a 6-day trek. We started at Chilling, and stopped overnight at Skiu, Sara, Markha, Hankar, Nimaling and Chakdo, all but Nimaling were homestays. We did the trek with our 12 and 14 year old children. Parts of the Hankar to Chakdo were challenging at times, where a riding horse proved helpful. Overall it is a beautiful trek with stunning scenary of rugged mountains, mountain glaciers and snow-capped Kang Yatse peaks. Stanzin proved to be a great guide who knows the routes like the back of his hand. He speaks the local language -- it helped us communicate to the homestay hosts and our horseman -- as well as English to communicate to us. We were very happy to have Stanzin as our guide. We will definitely have him as our guide for future hiking trips to the region.

Hello, I am Niklas from Germany and me, my girlfriend and my uncle were guided by Stanzin last summer.
We had a great time in Ladakh! Stanzin organised a 10 day long trip for us with horses, a cook and a help-guide.
Even in the middle of nowhere we had a three course freshly made dinner - with superb momos! Our trip included a pass at 5200 meter altitude and several days well above 4500.
He is very experienced, speaks good English and even French, is super fit and has good humour. Stanzin is a man you can rely on.
Nous avons connu Stanzin en 2015 pour un circuit de plusieurs jours dont un trek de 4 jours , nous avions apprécié sa gentillesse, sa discrétion, sa disponibilité , bref il faisait tout pour nous être agréable et si le moindre problème survient il le regle le plus rapidement possible
nous sommes restés en contact avec lui et en 20223 nous avons voulu repartir avec lui pour cette fois ci aller dans sa vallée du zanskar et dans son village Pischu
A Padum nous avons fait la connaissance de sa charmante épouse et de sa fille de 4 ans qui ensuite nous ont rejoint au village pour 3 jours ou vivent ses parents âgés dont il prend le plus grand soin
Nous avons passé 3 jours agréables et appris à confectionner des momos
Nous le recommandons chaleureusement , vous ne serez pas déçu , nous pensons y revenir très bientôt , c'est un gros coup de cœur pour cette région et surtout de retrouver Stanzin pour de nouvelles aventures
